About Nik Munro

After leaving art school in her hometown of Aberdeen, Nik moved south to Dorset where she embarked on a career in design and illustration. Several years later, a move to Somerset followed, where she was employed to run a design to print studio. Fast forward another decade, adventures continued, with a whirlwind of visiting and living in various countries whilst, at the same time, renovating an historic property with spectacular views of the Aberdeenshire countryside. It is here she called home and quickly set up a studio to work from, surrounded by constant inspiration from changing light, seasons and dark skies.  New and full moons never fail to fill her with awe, resulting in capturing many a moonscape when the skies are clear. Venturing out on dark nights to capture the Northern Lights, as well as other celestial sights, is a favourite activity.

During her years of overseas travel, she made it her mission in future to explore more of her homeland - in particular, the wilderness of northern Scotland. Her cards and prints are a reflection of these regular trips with captures from countryside to coast and everything in-between.
